Privacy Policy

Coastline Trust Company ("the Trust Company") has adopted the following privacy policy in order to safeguard the personal, nonpublic information of the Trust Company’s clients in accordance with Regulation 9 as promulgated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") and any other applicable laws, rules and regulations:

  1. The Trust Company is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of the information it collects, and will handle personal client information only in accordance with OCC Regulation 9 and any other applicable laws, rules and regulations. The Trust Company will ensure a) the security and confidentiality of client records and information; b) that client records and information are protected from any anticipated threats and hazards; and c) that client records and information are protected from unauthorized access or use. We will ensure your privacy through employee education, strict policies and procedures governing employee behavior, and placing certain restrictions on employee access to nonpublic personal information.
  2. The Trust Company conducts its business through its board of directors, officers, other employees, and certain third party vendors that provide services pursuant to agreements with the Trust Company. Only these parties will have access to account information and to certain nonpublic personal information, which they may be required to access and use, but only within the normal and expected scope of their respective duties in either managing the Trust Company, properly servicing your account, or in the case of vendors, fulfilling their contractual duties to the Trust Company.
  3. The Trust Company has determined that its policies and procedures, and that of its third party vendors, are reasonably designed to safeguard client information and only permit appropriate and authorized access to and use of customer information through the application of appropriate administrative, technical and physical protections. The Trust Company has directed each of its third party vendors to adhere to the Trust Company’s privacy policy and to their respective privacy policies with respect to all client information and to take all actions reasonably necessary so that the Trust Company is in compliance with the provisions of OCC Regulation 9 and other applicable laws, rules and regulations, including, as applicable, the development and delivery of privacy notices and the maintenance of appropriate and adequate records.
  4. The Trust Company shall not share client information with its affiliates, unless it receives prior written direction from the client to do so.
  5. The Trust Company shall not share client information with unaffiliated third parties, other than third party vendors that provide services pursuant to agreements with the Trust Company, unless it receives prior written direction from a client to do so.
  6. The Trust Company will require its third party vendors to provide periodic reports to the Trust Company’s managing officer, who in turn will provide them to the Trust Company’s board of directors, which outline their privacy policies and their implementation. Each third party vendor is required to promptly report to the Trust Company’s managing officer, who in turn will report to the Trust Company’s board of directors, any material changes to its privacy policy either before, or promptly after, the adoption of such changes.
